Swedish Massage is based entirely on Western concepts of anatomy and physiology, in contrast to some Eastern therapies that focus more on the spiritual side. Swedish or Holistic massage is the most common and widespread technique used in the West and focuses on relieving stress, muscle tension, and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Our holistic Swedish Massage at The Reflexology Studio uses a variety of techniques including stroking, kneading, pressure and flowing movements over the body. The technical names for some of these techniques are effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, vibration and friction. All of which work together to treat and prevent a variety of conditions.

Many people enjoy a Swedish Massage purely for the relaxation and wonderful stress melting benefits. Our emotional and mental well-being can have a direct effect on our physical body. So by inducing relaxation and stress relief, both your body and mind can benefit from this treatment.
